Angelica Paradise: Angelica Paradise will be moving from AGM at Boston Framingham to a GM at Salem, NH. We are thrilled to see Angelica continue to grow in her managerial skills and be ready to take on a property of her own! Some of you may think Angelica’s name looks familiar…and that’s because we first celebrated her back in the spring when she was promoted from the GSR level to the AGM level. Angelica joined Red Roof back in May, 2010, and is a third generation employee with the company, following in the footsteps of her grandmother and mother. Angelica also became a COE winner this year! She is ending the year on a high note, excited to take on the Salem team. A huge thank you to Holly Young for her guidance and leadership to prepare Angelica for this next step. And a special shout out to Steve Zagzoug for managing the Salem location, temporarily, to get it ready for Angelica to take over January 1!

Samantha McDaniel: Samantha McDaniel joined RRI West at the Danville, PA location in September 2021. She has been quietly honing her management skills, being the key GSR at this property over the summer while we recruited for a GM. It quickly became the consensus of the FGM team that had covered this property, that we had the perfect GM candidate right in front of us. Samantha stepped up, interviewed and was quickly offered the position! Many of those that interviewed Samantha, collectively said “where has she been hiding?” We are so thrilled to be able to tap into her past experiences, managing most recently, a Subway. Perhaps, among other things, the step by step quality process of making a sandwich 😉 will undoubtedly bring her success in the necessary process and steps to perfect Danville’s room quality! She loves the Danville area, the community feel that she is helping create with her team… and is excited to take this location to the next level. Congrats to Samantha!

Trucking Promotion Reminder

On December 5th, ADOS Kelly Schnorrbusch sent out an email regarding a Trucking Promotion that is available to you through the National Sales Team. Just a reminder if you haven’t already sent your responses regarding truck parking and your desire to participate in the program, send a quick email to her at kelly.schnorrbusch@rriwest.com and cc your ADOS and RVPO with your answers to the following questions.

  1. Do you have truck parking?

  2. If yes, any notes about the space: (i.e. only if available, adjacent grass lot, etc)

  3. Would you like to submit your inn for inclusion in an upcoming Trucking Promotion email?

  4. If yes, send at least 2 photos of the space to be sent; make sure the pictures are crisp/not blurry and would provide a good visual for the guest when included on the flyer.

  5. Anything else you want shared: (i.e. ¼ mile from X Truck Stop, 24-hour restaurant next door, etc)

Please respond by Friday December 23th with your truck parking info.

As we close out the year, it is a good time to send a note, a thank you, or some good cheer to your regular guests, your inn’s top producers, and current crew business. It can be a simple letter and candy cane left in the room before your regular checks in next time. Perhaps you send an email or holiday card with a thank you to the accounts who stay with you regularly. Make a phone call to that company you’d really love to win more business from in the new year. Remember that gratitude doesn’t have to cost more than a few minutes of your time and it goes a long way.

We see the hard work you put in every day, the sales leads you submit, and the great service you continue to provide, even when things get challenging. We appreciate you so very much.

THANK YOU. We wish you all a happy holiday season!

Sincerely,

Dawn, Cara, Lynette, and Kelly
